This topic describes how to add a database to a gateway. Once the local gateway is running, you can add one or more databases to it.
Procedure
- Open the Add Database dialog box.
You can use any of the following methods:
- When you create a database gateway, go to the Add a local database step and click Add Database. For more information about how to create a database gateway, see Create a database gateway.
- Log on to the console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Gateway List. On the Gateway List page, click a running gateway, and then click Add Database.
- Log on to the console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Database Information. On the Database Information page, click Add Database in the upper-right corner. Note In this case, select a database gateway from the drop-down list.
In the dialog box, configure the Database gateway, Database type (for example, MySQL), Host (for example,127.0.0.1), and Port (for example,3306). You can also enter a Description. Then, click OK. - Enter the database information.
Parameter Description Database gateway The name of the gateway. Database type Optional. Host The internal address used to access the database from the gateway's host. Port The port used to access the database from the gateway's host. Description Additional information about the database. - Click OK.
After you add a database to the gateway, you can modify or delete it.
