    Alibaba Cloud Data Transport is a secure, efficient, and easy-to-use data migration service. You can migrate terabytes or petabytes of local data to the cloud by using customized Data Transport devices. Data Transport guarantees high efficiency and security in large-scale data transfer.

    If a local data center has a low bandwidth or no Internet connection, you can use a Data Transport device to migrate local data to Alibaba Cloud Object Storage Service (OSS).

    • Flexible, scalable, and cost-effective

      • A single device can be used to migrate 36 TB, 100 TB, or 480 TB of data. Multiple devices can be used at the same time to improve migration efficiency.

      • Compared with a connection over the Internet or Express Connect circuit, Data Transport allows you to decrease the migration cost by 60% and increase the performance by 20 times.

    • Easy-to-deploy

      • Data Transport provides professional data migration devices, standard racks, and power supplies. It also allows you to deploy multiple devices at the same time to improve migration efficiency.

      • Data Transport supports multiple types of data sources, such as local file systems, network-attached storage (NAS) file systems, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and Fast Distributed File System (FastDFS).

    • Secure and reliable

      • Data consistency: The cyclic redundancy check (CRC) technique is applied for bi-directional read/write verification. If the CRC verification fails during data migration, Data Transport automatically retries to transmit data.

      • Data encryption: Data Transport provides end-to-end data encryption, and uses Resource Access Management (RAM) to manage permissions during data transfer and upload.

      • Data erasure: After data is migrated, previous data is removed by using the Alibaba Cloud data erasure technology to prevent data from being intercepted.
