You can upgrade a file gateway in the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.
Procedure
Upgrading a gateway causes a temporary service interruption. Proceed with caution.
In the Cloud Storage Gateway console, go to the Gateways page. Find the target file gateway and click Upgrade in the Actions column.

A gateway upgrade causes a brief I/O interruption. The interruption typically lasts for a few minutes. However, the interruption will last longer if the current gateway version is much older than the latest version. For more information about gateway versions, see the release notes.
We recommend that you perform the upgrade during off-peak hours and pause I/O on the file system client before you start.

As of version 1.0.42, you no longer need to remount the client after a gateway upgrade.
