This topic describes how to update file gateways deployed on Alibaba Cloud in the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.
Procedure
Updating gateways will cause temporary business interruptions. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
On the Gateways page of the CSG console, find the gateway and click Upgrade in the Actions column.
Updating a gateway will cause seconds or minutes of I/O interruptions. However, if the version of the gateway is far lower than the latest gateway version, the I/O interruption duration will be longer. For more information, see Release notes.
We recommend that you update a gateway during off-peak business hours and pause I/O on the file system before the update starts.
Starting from gateway V1.0.42, you do not need to re-mount a gateway to the client after the gateway is updated.
