Update file gateways deployed on Alibaba Cloud to the latest software version through the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.
Impact
Updating a gateway causes I/O interruptions that last seconds to minutes. If the current gateway version is far below the latest version, the interruption lasts longer. For version details, see Release notes.
To minimize disruption:
Schedule the update during off-peak hours.
Pause I/O on the file system before starting the update.
Starting from V1.0.42, the gateway no longer requires a re-mount to the client after an update.
Update a gateway
Updating gateways causes temporary business interruptions. Proceed with caution.
Open the Gateways page in the CSG console.
Find the target gateway, then click Upgrade in the Actions column.
After the update completes, confirm that the gateway status returns to normal on the Gateways page.
