This topic describes how to add or remove tags for a file gateway in the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.
Prerequisites
A file gateway is created. For more information, see Manage file gateways.
Background information
Each tag is a key-value pair. Tag keys within a region must be unique. If you create a tag with the same key as an existing one within the same region, the new value will overwrite the existing value of the key.
You can add up to 10 tags to one gateway.
You can add up to five tags to a gateway, or remove up to five tags from a gateway at a time.
Tags are not shared across regions.
Add tags
On the Gateways page of the CSG console, find the gateway and click .
In the Change Tags dialog box, create a tag or select an existing tag.
To create a tag, click Create Tag, specify a tag key in the Key field and a tag value in the Value field, and then click OK after the Value field. After the tag is created, click OK to add it to the gateway.
To add an existing tag to the gateway, click Existing Tags and select the tag. Click OK to add the tag to the gateway.
The tags added to a gateway are displayed in the Tags column in the gateway list.
Remove tags
On the Gateways page of the CSG console, find the gateway and click .
In the Change Tags dialog box, click the x icon next to the tag that you want to remove and click OK.
If a tag is added to only one gateway, removing the tag from the gateway deletes the tag.
