This topic describes how to add a Server Message Block (SMB) user in Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG). SMB users can access SMB shares.
Background information
Version 1.0.36 and later allow you to add SMB users in the CSG console.
Procedure
Important
If a gateway is joined to an Active Directory (AD) domain, you cannot create SMB users on the gateway. Users must be managed on the AD domain server.
On the Gateways page of the CSG console, click the ID of the gateway. On the gateway details page, click .
In the Add SMB User dialog box, configure the user name and password, and click OK.
