A savings plan reduces Container Compute Service (ACS) costs by applying discounted pay-as-you-go rates in exchange for a fixed daily spending commitment over a set term. Once active, the discount applies automatically to eligible pay-as-you-go bills.
Features and benefits
ACS savings plans use a daily spending commitment, unlike traditional savings plans that require an hourly commitment. A daily commitment better accommodates traffic fluctuations and reduces cost waste during off-peak periods.
Each day's committed amount is use-it-or-lose-it -- unused commitment does not roll over. The committed amount is charged regardless of whether the plan covers any instances on a given day.

Deduction scope
A savings plan applies its discount to accumulated daily pay-as-you-go bills for eligible instances in the same region as the plan.

Savings plans are applied to the accumulated daily pay-as-you-go bills for General Purpose, Compute Optimized, GPU, and GPU Reserved Capacity instances in the same region as the savings plan. GPU-HPN instances are not supported.

Instances with the BestEffort computing power class are not eligible for deductions.

GPU and GPU Reserved Capacity instances are not eligible for deductions from savings plans with a 3-month subscription duration.

Assume a one-year, All Upfront savings plan in the Singapore region with a daily committed spend of USD 100.
