Cloud Monitor automatically retrieves the resources of cloud services under your Alibaba Cloud account. You can view monitoring charts for each cloud service to check the health of your resources. You can also set alert rules to monitor the health of your resources. When an alert rule is triggered, Cloud Monitor automatically sends an alert notification. This ensures that you are promptly informed about the status of your resources.
Background information
The monitoring information available on each cloud service monitoring page varies. For example, on the monitoring page for Server Load Balancer (SLB), you can view the instance list, check monitoring charts, and set alert rules for instances.
Procedure
You can set alert rules for the resources of a cloud service on its monitoring page. When an alert rule is triggered, Cloud Monitor automatically sends an alert notification.
Log on to the Cloud Monitor 2.0 console, and select a workspace. In the left navigation pane, choose .
On the Cloud Monitoring page, select the target cloud service. You can set alert rules for Metrics and Quotas Monitoring as needed.
Metric: Click the name of the target cloud service to open its instance list page.
In the Actions column of the target resource, click Alert Rules.
On the Alert Rules page, click Create Alert Rule.
In the Create Alert Rule panel, configure the parameters for the alert rule.
Click Confirm.
Quota Monitoring: Click the name of the target cloud service to open its instance list page. Set alert rules for General Quota or API Rate Limit resources as needed.
In the Actions column of the target resource, click Alert Rules, or click Global Alert Rule in the upper-right corner.
NoteA global alert rule applies to all resource quotas of the target cloud service.
Click Create Alert Rule and configure the parameters for the alert rule.

View metric data
Log on to the Cloud Monitor 2.0 console, and select a workspace. In the left navigation pane, choose .
On the Cloud Service Monitoring page, select the target cloud service.
Click the icon of one of the following data features in the Metric Monitoring section to open the page for the target cloud service.
