The Cloud Monitor agent is the basis and core of Cloud Monitor. The host monitoring feature uses the Cloud Monitor agent to collect, aggregate, and report host metric data to Cloud Monitor. The availability monitoring feature uses the agent to detect and monitor data. The Simple Log Service log monitoring feature of Hybrid Cloud Monitoring and the integrated monitoring feature in multiple clouds and hybrid clouds also use the agent to collect and report data. Therefore, full coverage of the Cloud Monitor agent is a prerequisite for building a complete resource monitoring system by using Cloud Monitor.

Install the Cloud Monitor agent based on your business requirements
In the Cloud Monitor console, choose Cloud Service Monitoring > Host Monitoring. On the Host Monitoring page, select hosts and click Batch Install.
Automatic install the Cloud Monitor agent
The Cloud Monitor agent is automatically installed for the hosts where the agent is not installed.
