Create a deployment site

Before you create a cloud box, you must create a deployment site.

1. Go to the Deployment Sites tab.

   1. Log on to the ECS console.

   2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances & Images > CloudBox.

   3. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

   4. Click the Deployment Sites tab.

2. Click Create Deployment Site.

3. Configure the basic information for the deployment site and complete the delivery condition survey.

   1. Configure the deployment site information, and then click Next:Delivery Condition Survey.

      Parameter	Description
      Deployment site name	The name of the deployment site.
      Description	Optional. The description of the deployment site.
      Country	The administrative geographic location of the deployment site. You cannot change this setting after a cloud box is associated with the deployment site.
      Province/city
      Street address

   2. Complete the delivery condition survey, and then click Confirm.

      The delivery condition survey collects details about the data center's space, environment, power, and network connectivity. For more information, see Deployment requirements.

Manage a deployment site

You can view, modify, and delete existing deployment sites.

1. On the CloudBox page in the ECS console, click the Deployment Sites tab.

2. Find the deployment site and perform one of the following operations.

   • Click View to review the basic information and site conditions of the deployment site.

   • Click Modify and follow the on-screen instructions.

     If the deployment site is associated with a cloud box, you can modify only the name and description of the deployment site.

   • Click Delete and follow the on-screen instructions.

     If the deployment site is associated with a cloud box, you cannot delete the deployment site.
