Cloud Box:Manage CloudBox

After you create a deployment site, you must create a CloudBox at the site to purchase cloud box resources. This topic describes how to create an empty CloudBox, modify its information, and delete it.

Create a cloud box

After you create a deployment site, you can create multiple empty CloudBoxes at that site.

Note

You can create a maximum of 50 CloudBoxes in a single region.

  1. On the CloudBox page in the ECS console, click the Cloud Boxes tab.

  2. Click Create Cloud Box.

  3. Enter the basic information for the CloudBox and click Confirm Configuration.

    Description

    Name

    Enter a custom name for the CloudBox.

    Description

    The description of the CloudBox. Optional.

    Deployment site

    Select an existing deployment site.

    Cloud box zone identifier

    This identifier is used to generate the public cloud zone name. Each CloudBox corresponds to one zone.

  4. Review the information and click OK.

Manage CloudBox

After creating a CloudBox, you can modify its information or delete it.

  1. On the CloudBox page in the ECS console, click the Cloud Boxes tab.

  2. Find the target CloudBox and perform one of the following operations:

    • To modify the CloudBox information, click Modify.

      Note
      • If the CloudBox is in the Running state, you can modify only its name and description.

      • If the CloudBox is in the Pending Configuration state, you can modify its name, description, and deployment site.

    • To delete the CloudBox, click Delete.

      Note

      You cannot delete a CloudBox if it contains cloud box resources.
