A deployment site is the physical location in which a cloud box is deployed. The deployment site is used to store the hardware infrastructure of a cloud box. This topic describes how to create, view, modify, and delete a deployment site.
Create a deployment site
Before you create a cloud box, you must create a deployment site.
- Go to the Deployment Site tab.
Log on to the ECS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
In the top navigation bar, select a region.
Click the Deployment Sites tab.
- Click Create Deployment Site.
- Configure the basic information about the deployment site and complete the survey on the delivery conditions of the deployment site.
- Configure the basic information of the deployment site. Then, click Next:Delivery Condition Survey.
Parameter Description Deployment Site Name The name of the deployment site. Description Optional. The description of the deployment site. Country The physical location of the deployment site. After you associate a cloud box with the deployment site, you cannot modify these parameters for the deployment site. Province/City Detailed Address - Complete the survey on the delivery conditions of the deployment site and click Confirm. The survey investigates the conditions of the deployment site, including the basic information, space, environment, power supply, and network connectivity of your data center. Complete the survey based on the actual conditions of your data center. For more information, see Deployment requirements.
- Configure the basic information of the deployment site. Then, click Next:Delivery Condition Survey.
Manage a deployment site
You can view, modify, and delete existing deployment sites.
- On the Cloud Boxes page in the Elastic Compute Service (ECS) console, click the Deployment Site tab.
- Find the deployment site that you want to manage and perform operations on the deployment site based on your business requirements.
- Click View to view the basic information and conditions of the deployment site.
- Click Modify to modify the configurations of the deployment site as prompted.
If the deployment site is associated with a cloud box, you can modify only the name and description of the deployment site.
- Click Delete to delete the deployment site as prompted.
If the deployment site is associated with a cloud box, you cannot delete the deployment site.
