Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) provides a monitoring page where you can view information about resource usage. This topic describes how to view the monitoring data of transit routers, bandwidth plans, inter-region connections, and Express Connect circuits associated with virtual border routers (VBRS) and the data transfer information of connections between network instances and transit routers in the CEN console.
Background information
- CEN allows you to view the monitoring data of transit routers, bandwidth plans, inter-region connections, Express Connect circuits, and network instance connections. By default, the dashboards display the monitoring data of resources within the previous hour and the average within every minute is collected.
You can select 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or a custom time range on the top of the Charts tab to view the monitoring data collected within the specified time range. You can also modify the Interval parameter to collect the average within every 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day.
- The system can automatically update monitoring data.
On the top of the Charts tab, turn on Auto Refresh to enable the system to automatically update monitoring data every minute.
Limits
You can view the monitoring data of only Enterprise Edition transit routers and the monitoring data of connections between network instances and Enterprise Edition transit routers.

Inbound Packets The number of packets that the transit router receives from the network instance. Unit: packets. Outbound Packets The number of packets that the transit router sends to the network instance. Unit: packets. Note You can view the monitoring data of transit routers on the Charts or Transit Router tab. For more information, see Monitor transit routers.
View the monitoring data of network instance connections
- Log on to the CEN console.
- On the Instances page, find the CEN instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID.
- On the details page of the CEN instance, choose .
- On the Connected Instance Monitoring tab, select the region of the transit router and select a network instance that is associated with the transit router.
Metric Description AttachmentOutRate The data transfer rate from the transit router to the network instance. Unit: bit/s. AttachmentInRate The data transfer rate from the network instance to the transit router. Unit: bit/s. AttachmentBlackHoleDropBytes The rate at which packets from the network instance are dropped due to blackhole routing. Unit: bit/s.
View the monitoring data of inter-region connections
- Log on to the CEN console.
- On the Instances page, find the CEN instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID.
- On the details page of the CEN instance, choose .
- On the Cross-region Bandwidth Monitoring tab, select an inter-region connection and view the bandwidth monitoring information.
Metric Description InternetOutRateByConnectionRegion The bandwidth of the inter-region connection that is occupied. Unit: bit/s. This monitoring metric consists of two items. The system displays the following information for the connected regions, such as Region A and Region B:- The usage of the bandwidth for data transfer from Region A to Region B.
- The usage of the bandwidth for data transfer from Region B to Region A.
InternetOutRatePercentByConnectionRegion The ratio of the occupied bandwidth to the maximum bandwidth of the inter-region connection. This monitoring metric consists of two items. The system displays the following information for the connected regions, such as Region A and Region B:- The percentage of A-to-B bandwidth resources to the total bandwidth resources.
- The percentage of B-to-A bandwidth resources to the total bandwidth resources.
LatencyByConnectionRegion The network latency between the regions. Unit: milliseconds. InternetOutDropRateByConnectionRegion The rate at which packets are dropped due to traffic throttling between the regions. Unit: pps. This monitoring metric consists of two items. The system displays the following information for the connected regions, such as Region A and Region B:- The packet loss rate of the data transfer from Region A to Region B caused by bandwidth throttling.
- The packet loss rate of the data transfer from Region B to Region A caused by bandwidth throttling.
Note- You can view the bandwidth monitoring data of inter-region connections on the Charts or Cross-region Connections tab. For more information, see Monitor inter-region connections.
- If you have configured a quality of service (QoS) policy for the inter-region connection, you can view the monitoring data of the QoS queue on the Cross-region Connections tab. For more information, see Create threshold-triggered alert rules for an inter-region connection.
View the monitoring data of bandwidth plans
- Log on to the CEN console.
- On the Instances page, find the CEN instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID.
- On the details page of the CEN instance, choose .
- On the Bandwidth Plan Usage Monitoring tab, select a bandwidth plan and view the monitoring data.
Metric Description InternetOutRateByConnectionArea The bandwidth usage information. Unit: bit/s. InternetOutRatePercentByConnectionArea The ratio of the occupied bandwidth to the total bandwidth. Note On the Charts tab, you can view the monitoring data of only bandwidth plans that are associated with the current CEN instance. For more information about how to view the monitoring data of other bandwidth plans, see Monitor a bandwidth plan.
