Cloud Backup:Get started with Tablestore backup

To back up Tablestore tables, complete the following steps in the Cloud Backup console:

1. Activate Cloud Backup

   Activating Cloud Backup is free of charge. If you use the Tablestore backup feature, you are charged for the storage usage of the backup vault.

   1. Cloud Backup is free for the first 30 days after you use the Tablestore backup feature for the first time.

   2. The Tablestore backup feature creates backup vaults. Backup vault fees are included in your Cloud Backup bills. For more information, see Billing methods and billable items.

   3. If you restore data to a Tablestore instance, you are charged for the data write throughput. These fees are included in your Tablestore bills. For more information, see Billing overview.

2. Back up Tablestore tables

   When you create a backup plan, configure the full backup and incremental backup policies, backup vault, and retention period. Cloud Backup then runs the plan and continuously backs up data from the specified Tablestore instance.

3. Restore Tablestore tables

   1. Cloud Backup does not charge for data restoration. Restoration fees are included in your Tablestore bills.

   2. If a system failure or error occurs on a Tablestore instance, you can restore the table data in the backup vault to the source Tablestore instance or another specified Tablestore instance. You can restore only one table at a time.
