Cloud Enterprise Network:Overdue payments and refunds

Last Updated:Mar 31, 2026

This page describes how overdue payments and subscription expirations affect CEN resources, and how to request a refund.

Overdue payments

A payment becomes overdue when the available credit in your Alibaba Cloud account — including the account balance, vouchers, and coupons — falls below the amount due on the bill. Alibaba Cloud notifies you by text message and email.

Transit routers

Transit routers use pay-as-you-go billing. The following table shows how an overdue payment affects transit router availability.

StateTimingWhat happens
Past due0–15 days after payment is overdueTransit routers continue forwarding traffic normally. Top up your account to avoid interruption.
SuspendedAfter 15 days overdueTransit routers stop forwarding traffic. Top up your account to restore service automatically.
ReleasedAfter 15 days suspended (30 days total)Transit routers are permanently deleted. All configurations and data are deleted and cannot be recovered.

TransitRouter is a pay-as-you-go resource. If your account has an overdue payment, the resource enters the following states:

  • The TransitRouter instance continues to provide service for 15 days after your account has an overdue payment.

  • After 15 days, the service for the TransitRouter instance is suspended, and traffic is not forwarded. Add funds to your account to pay the bill promptly. After the payment is successful, the service for the TransitRouter instance returns to Normal.

  • If the TransitRouter instance remains suspended for 15 days due to non-payment, the instance is automatically released. After the instance is released, its configurations and data are deleted and cannot be recovered.

Bandwidth plans

Bandwidth plans use subscription billing. Payment is required before a bandwidth plan takes effect, so an active plan remains available until it expires. The validity period of a bandwidth plan is determined by the subscription period that you specify when you make the purchase.

If your account has an overdue payment, you cannot purchase, upgrade, or renew bandwidth plans.

The following table shows what happens when a bandwidth plan expires.

StateTimingWhat happens
Expired0–15 days after expirationThe bandwidth plan continues providing services. Renew the plan to avoid interruption.
SuspendedAfter 15 days expiredData forwarding stops. Your configurations are retained. Renew the plan to restore service.
ReleasedAfter 15 days suspended (30 days after expiration)The bandwidth plan is permanently deleted. All configurations and data are deleted and cannot be restored.
Alibaba Cloud sends a text message and email one day before your bandwidth plan is released.
  • A bandwidth plan continues to provide service for 15 days after it expires. Renew the bandwidth plan promptly. For more information, see Renew a bandwidth plan.

  • If a bandwidth plan remains expired for more than 15 days, its service is suspended, and traffic is not forwarded.

During the suspension period, the system retains the configurations of the bandwidth plan. You can renew the bandwidth plan. After the renewal is successful, the service status of the bandwidth plan returns to Normal.

  • If a bandwidth plan remains suspended for 15 days, it is automatically released.

The system sends you a text message and an email one day before the release. After the bandwidth plan is released, its configurations and data are deleted and cannot be recovered.
