Dear Alibaba Cloud users, starting from November 9, 2023, the unit price for the cross-region data transfers of Cloud Data Transfer (CDT) is reduced. The following descriptions provide details:
The unit price of data transfers from a region in the Chinese mainland to another region outside the Chinese mainland or from a region outside the Chinese mainland to another region in the Chinese mainland is reduced to USD 0.8/GB.
The price will take effect at 00:00 on November 9, 2023. Both existing instances and new instances will be billed according to the new price.
This adjustment does not affect your business. The consumption expenses of your cross-region data transfers may decrease after the adjustment. You can check the changes in your bills.

The actual prices on your bills shall prevail.
Example
Assume that you have created Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) instance A that connects a region in the Chinese mainland to another region in the Chinese mainland and CEN instance B that connects a region in the Chinese mainland to another region in North America, and CDT is activated. Your data transfers from the region in the Chinese mainland to another region in the Chinese mainland are 200 GB. Your data transfers from the region in the Chinese mainland to another region in North America are 500 GB. The price reduction helps you effectively save costs.
Fee before the adjustment: USD 0.09/GB × 200 GB + USD 1.92/GB × 500 GB = USD 978
Fee after the adjustment: USD 0.09/GB × 200 GB + USD 0.8/GB × 500 GB = USD 418. Cost savings of USD 560, about a 57% decrease.
