Resource Access Management (RAM) users imported into a Bastionhost instance can connect to managed hosts directly from a browser — no client installation required. This document explains how to start a web-based connection and transfer files during a session.
Edition requirements
Web-based O&M is supported only on Enterprise Edition and SM Edition. To upgrade, see Purchase a bastion host and Upgrade a bastion host.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A RAM user imported into your bastion host. See Manage users
The hosts you want to manage imported into the bastion host, with the RAM user authorized to access them. See Add hosts and Authorize users or user groups to manage assets and asset accounts
(Optional) A host account created for the target host. See Manage a host account
Connect to a host
Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your bastion host resides.
In the bastion host list, find the target bastion host and click Manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Asset O&M > Host O&M.
On the Host O&M page, find the host you want to connect to.
In the Remote Connection column, click the drop-down arrow. In the dialog box that appears, select a host account, set the logon method to Web Remote Connection, and then click Log On.
The O&M web page opens in your browser. Perform O&M operations on the host.
Transfer files over RDP
RDP sessions use CloudDisk as the file transfer medium. Files uploaded from your local computer are staged in CloudDisk first, then you move them to the remote host — and vice versa for downloads.
To download a file from the remote host to your local computer:
On the remote host, upload the file to CloudDisk.

In the File Transfer panel, click the
icon.
Select the file and click the
icon to download it to your local computer.
