This topic describes how to perform O&M operations on the databases on which you have permissions by using the Bastionhost console as a Resource Access Management (RAM) user.
Supported versions
Enterprise Edition and SM Edition.
If your Bastionhost instance is Basic Edition, you need to upgrade to the corresponding version. For more information, see Upgrade instance type.
Databases that support web-based O&M operations
MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Prerequisites
The administrator has granted management permissions to the RAM user.
The administrator has created databases in Bastionhost, imported RAM users, and authorized RAM users to access assets and asset accounts. For more information, see Import databases, Manage users, and Authorize users or user groups to manage assets and asset accounts.
Procedure
Log on to the Bastionhost console and select the region where your bastion host is deployed in the top navigation bar.
In the bastion host list, find the target instance and click Manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Database O&M page, find the database that you want to manage and click the drop-down arrow in the Remote Connection column. In the dialog box that appears, select a database account, set the Logon Method parameter to Web Remote Connection, and then click Log On.
Go to the O&M web page of the database and perform O&M operations on the database.
