Starting January 12, 2026, Alibaba Cloud will upgrade all Bastionhost V3.2.X instances to V3.2.48.3 to provide you with a more stable and high-quality service. If you do not set a custom upgrade time or trigger a manual upgrade, the system will automatically upgrade your instance at the system-scheduled time, which may fall during business peak hours.
This version adds password management for Linux privileged accounts, an offline player for session recordings, data masking for host audit logs, and several stability improvements. For full details, see the Release notes.

The upgrade period covers all regions on the Alibaba Cloud International site (alibabacloud.com). The schedule applies to business days only.

Upgrade impacts
During the upgrade:
Your Bastionhost instance enters the Upgrading state. The upgrade takes approximately 20 minutes and causes a service interruption of about 1 minute. Schedule the upgrade during off-peak hours to minimize impact.
After the upgrade — action required:
Before logging in to the O&M portal for the first time, clear your browser cache or perform a hard refresh.
After the upgrade — system changes:
You can view only operation logs from the last 180 days in the Bastionhost console.
Schedule or trigger the upgrade
Bastionhost displays an upgrade window in the console where you can view the upgrade period and set a preferred time.
Two upgrade modes are available:
Automatic upgrade: Set a time for the system to run the upgrade automatically.
System-scheduled upgrade time: A random time the system assigns within the upgrade period. This time may fall during business peak hours.
Custom upgrade time: A time you specify.
Manual upgrade: Trigger the upgrade immediately to upgrade your instance to the latest version right away.
If you do not set a custom upgrade time or trigger a manual upgrade, the system will automatically upgrade your instance at the system-scheduled time, which may overlap with business peak hours.
