    Bastionhost:Update Bastionhost to V3.2.46.1

    Dear Alibaba Cloud users,

    From May 7, 2025, Alibaba Cloud starts to roll out updates based on Bastionhost V3.2.46.1 to users of Bastionhost V3.2.X.

    Bastionhost V3.2.46.1 provides new features such as database command management, Secure Shell (SSH) key rotation, and Google Cloud asset import. To provide better and stable services, the features related to system stability and search conditions on the audit page are optimized.

    Update description

    • Blacklist and whitelist policies can be configured for database commands to enhance database O&M security.

    • SSH key rotation is supported.

    • Google Cloud assets can be imported.

    • File transmission is supported when you perform Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)-based O&M operations on a web page.

    • The search logic on the audit page is optimized.

    • Specific known issues are fixed.

    Available update periods

    The update period varies based on the region and edition of your bastion host. The following table describes the specific update periods, excluding non-business days.

    Update impacts

    • If your bastion host is being updated, the bastion host is in the Updating Configuration state. The update process is 20 minutes, and a service interruption that lasts approximately 1 minute occurs. We recommend that you specify a custom period to update your bastion host during off-peak hours.

    • After the upgrade is complete, log on to the Bastionhost console or O&M portal again.

    Update methods

    Bastionhost displays an update window for a bastion host in the Bastionhost console. You can view the update period in the update window. If you want to modify the update period, you can click Automatically Upgrade to specify an update period or click Manually Upgrade to immediately update the bastion host. For more information, see Update Bastionhost V3.2.

    • Automatic update: Your bastion host is automatically updated based on the update period that is defined by Bastionhost or the update period that you specify.

      • Update period that is defined by Bastionhost: Bastionhost randomly selects an update period based on the available update periods.

      • Custom update period: You can specify a custom update period.

    • Manual update: You can manually update your bastion host to the latest version.

      Warning

      • The system-defined update period may overlap with the peak hours of your business. This may affect your business. To prevent business interruptions, we recommend that you specify a custom update period during off-peak hours.

      • If you do not manually update your bastion host and you do not specify a custom update period for your bastion host, your bastion host is automatically updated during the update period that is determined by Bastionhost.
