Bastionhost supports only the subscription billing method. Before you purchase a bastion host, we recommend that you learn about the billing rules of Bastionhost. This topic describes the billing rules of Bastionhost of different editions and refunds.
Billing cycle
The billing cycle of a subscription instance is the time commitment you make when you purchase the instance (based on UTC+8:00). The billing cycle begins at the time when the subscription resource is purchased or renewed (accurate to the second) and ends at 00:00:00 on the day after the expiration date.
The billing cycles of subscription resources are in the unit of calendar years or months.
Specifications
Bastionhost are offered based on editions and flexible specifications such as the number of assets that you can use a bastion host to manage. We recommend that you select specifications based on the required edition and actual usage. The following table describes the specifications that you must specify to purchase a bastion host of the Basic or Enterprise edition.
Edition | Specification | Description |
Basic and Enterprise | Plan | The number of server assets that a bastion host can manage. We recommend that you specify this parameter based on the actual number of servers you want to use the bastion host to manage and the number of assets that you may use the bastion host to manage in the future. |
Extra Bandwidth | After you purchase the bastion host, the bandwidth of the bastion host is automatically provisioned. If the default bandwidth cannot meet your business requirements, you can configure Extra Bandwidth. For more information about the billing of extra bandwidths, see Billing of Bastionhost. | |
Extended Storage Plans | After you purchase the bastion host, the storage of the bastion host is automatically provisioned. If the default storage capacity cannot meet your business requirements, you can configure Extended Storage Plans. For more information about the billing of extended storage plans, see Billing of Bastionhost. |

A bastion host can stably run only if the number of concurrent sessions stays below the upper limit. If the number exceeds the upper limit, the bastion host may encounter service interruptions.
If a session contains multiple TCP connections, each TCP connection consumes a concurrent session quota.
If you initiate multiple sessions to simultaneously upload or download large files or you initiate multiple sessions to perform complex graphics operations by using a remote desktop, bandwidth usage may spike, and remote sessions may freeze. We recommend that you perform the preceding operations during off-peak hours or purchase extra bandwidth for the bastion host.
If you initiate multiple sessions to perform complex graphics operations or open browsers to watch videos by using a remote desktop, overload protection may be triggered due to heavy workloads. After overload protection is triggered, Bastionhost denies new session requests or interrupts existing sessions based on the real-time workloads. We recommend that you perform the preceding operations during off-peak hours or upgrade the specifications of the bastion host.
Expiration
If you do not renew your bastion host within 7 days after the bastion host expires, the bastion host no longer provides services, and you cannot log on to the console of the bastion host.
If you do not renew your bastion host within the grace period of 7 days, the bastion host is released, and the configuration data and audit logs of the bastion host are deleted.
Refunds
Bastionhost does not provide a money-back guarantee.
