Manage Prometheus instances, including creating and deleting instances, configuring tags, switching billing methods, setting storage duration, and aggregating data across instances.
Prerequisites
ARMS is activated. Activate ARMS.
Access the instance list
-
Log on to the ARMS console.
-
In the left navigation pane, choose .
On the Instances page, create Prometheus instances or view Prometheus instance details: region, type, tags, and billing method.
Activation and instance creation are two different concepts. Activation refers to enabling Managed Service for Prometheus. Activation is completed automatically the first time you create an instance, and activation itself does not incur charges. The Instance created notification that you receive confirms that the product has been activated. It does not mean that an available instance has been created. After activation, go to the Instances page in the console and click Create Prometheus instance. Then, specify parameters such as the instance name, resource group, and region to manually create an instance. Billing starts only after you complete this step. If you do not see an instance in the console after you receive the notification, check whether you have actually created an instance.
Create an instance
On the Instances page, click Create Prometheus instance.
On the Create instance page, set the parameters and click Create Now.
Configure an instance
You can configure the following settings for a Managed Service for Prometheus instance: tags, billing methods, storage duration, and aggregation.

Tags are specific to a region.
Unbound tags are automatically deleted.
