Last Updated:Jan 21, 2025

If you no longer use Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) to monitor your application, you can delete the application on the Application Settings page.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ARMS console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Application Monitoring > Application List.

  2. On the Application List page, select a region in the top navigation bar and click the name of the application that you want to manage.

    Note

Icons displayed in the Language column indicate languages in which applications are written.

    Java图标: Java application

    image: Go application

    image: Python application

Hyphen (-): application monitored in Managed Service for OpenTelemetry.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Application Settings. On the page that appears, click the Custom Configuration tab.

  4. On the Custom Configuration tab, turn off Probe Master Switch in the Agent Switch Settings section. Click Save.

    Important

The modification takes effect immediately without the need to restart the application. After you turn off Probe Master Switch, your application is not monitored anymore, and no fees are incurred. Proceed with caution when you perform this operation.

  5. Uninstall the ARMS agent. For more information, see Uninstall an ARMS agent. If you have questions, see FAQ overview.

  6. After the ARMS agent is uninstalled, click the Delete tab on the Application Settings page.

  7. Click Delete Application. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    Warning
    • This operation clears all metadata, including application resources and settings, but does not clear the monitoring data of the application.

    • The deleted application cannot be restored. To ensure complete deletion, first ensure that the agent or SDK stops reporting data. If data reporting continues, a new application will be created.

Result

The deleted application no longer appears on the Applications page.
