Rules
For applications deployed in ACK clusters, Application Monitoring Pro Edition provides a 50 percent discount.
Estimate monitoring costs
Estimate the number of Java processes that are monitored per day. In general, the number of Java processes is approximately equal to the number of pods.
Example
Assume that you want to monitor 640 pods in the China (Hangzhou) region every day. The monthly monitoring cost depends on the billing method:
If you use the pay-as-you-go billing method, the monthly monitoring cost is calculated based on the following formula: 640 × 0.5 × 24 × 30 × 0.0414 (Agent × Hour)= USD 9,538.56.
If you use resource plans, only a premium resource plan worth USD 3,725.71 is needed.
Compared with the pay-as-you-go billing method, resource plans are more cost-effective. The unit prices of resource plans are about 30% to 70% of the pay-as-you-go unit prices. We recommend that you use resource plans.
