ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ:Overdue payments

Last Updated:Jul 07, 2025

This topic describes how the status of ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ resources changes after an instance expires or an Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments. To ensure business continuity, we recommend that you renew your instance or top up your account at the earliest opportunity.

Subscription instances

The validity periods of subscription instances vary based on the purchased duration. The following describes the status change of resources after a subscription instance expires:

  • Alibaba Cloud stops the ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ service, but retains the instance and vhosts, exchanges, and queues on it.

  • If you do not renew the instance within 7 days after it expires, the instance is released and vhosts, exchanges, and queues on it are deleted. The deleted data cannot be restored.

Serverless instances

When your Alibaba Cloud account balance is insufficient to pay the bill amount and becomes overdue, the status change of resources in a serverless instance is as follows:

  • Alibaba Cloud stops the ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ service, but retains the instance and vhosts, exchanges, and queues on it.

  • If you do not renew your instance within 7 days after service suspension, the instance is released and vhosts, exchanges, and queues on it are deleted. The deleted data cannot be restored.
