Partition rebalancing and traffic redirection

Message Queue for Apache Kafka supports partition rebalancing and traffic redirection.

  • If partitions are unevenly distributed across a cluster, you can rebalance the partitions of all cloud-storage topics to ensure that each node hosts a similar number of partitions.

  • If a cloud-storage topic has partition skew and high traffic, you can redirect its traffic to nodes with lower disk usage.
