To activate the ApsaraMQ for Kafka service, you must first authorize ApsaraMQ for Kafka to access resources from other Alibaba Cloud products.
Prerequisites
You have created an Alibaba Cloud account and completed real-name verification. For more information, see Create an Alibaba Cloud account.
Background information
To simplify the activation process, ApsaraMQ for Kafka creates a default Resource Access Management (RAM) role for your account to access other Alibaba Cloud resources.
RAM is the access control service of Alibaba Cloud. You can manage access to your resources by creating RAM users and RAM roles and configuring permissions for them. For more information about RAM, see Authorize RAM users and RAM roles.
Procedure
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud official website.
On the RAM Quick Authorization page, click Confirm Authorization.
Result
After the authorization is complete, the ApsaraMQ for Kafka console opens.
