To use ApsaraMQ for Kafka, you must grant ApsaraMQ for Kafka permissions to access other Alibaba Cloud resources.
Prerequisites
You have registered an Alibaba Cloud account and completed real-name verification. For more information, see Create an Alibaba Cloud account.
Background information
To help you quickly activate the service, ApsaraMQ for Kafka creates a default RAM role for your account. This role allows the service to access Alibaba Cloud resources on your behalf.
Resource Access Management (RAM) is Alibaba Cloud's access control service. You can manage access to your resources by creating RAM users and roles and granting them permissions. For more information about RAM, see Authorize RAM users and RAM roles.
Procedure

Log in to the Alibaba Cloud official website.

On the RAM Quick Authorization page, click Agree to Authorization.
The page displays the authorization role AliyunKafkaDefaultRole and the system policy AliyunKafkaRolePolicy.
Result
Granting the authorization redirects you to the ApsaraMQ for Kafka console.
