Suggestions

  • If you enable the official version of the audit log feature, you are charged additional fees. Therefore, Alibaba Cloud does not automatically enable the official version of the audit log feature. If the free trial version of the audit log feature is enabled and you want to continue using the audit log feature without interruptions, you must manually enable the official version of the audit log feature before June 11, 2021. For more information, see Enable the new audit log feature.
  • If the free trial version of the audit log feature is enabled but you no longer need to use the audit log feature, you can disable the free trial version of the audit log feature before June 11, 2021. Before you disable the free trial version of the audit log feature, we recommend that you back up the audit logs that are generated. For more information, see FAQ.
Note The entry point to disable the free trial version of the audit log feature is available starting from June 11, 2021, when the official version of the audit log feature was released.

FAQ

  • Can I continue to use the free trial version of the audit log feature after the official version of the audit log feature is released?
The free trial version of the audit log feature remained available until June 10, 2021.
Important The official version of the audit log feature is commercially available starting from June 11, 2021, when the free trial version of the audit log feature started to be phased out.
  • Why is the free trial version of the audit log feature phased out?

In the free trial version of the audit log feature, the log retention period is fixed to one day, and 100 GB of storage is provided to store audit logs that are generated on all instances in the same region. In actual business scenarios, you may require a longer log retention period and a larger storage capacity.

  • How do I back up audit logs before I disable the audit log feature?
For more information about how to back up audit logs, see Download logs.
    Note
    • When you download audit logs, you specify the redis_audit_log Logstore and specify the project name in the following format: nosql-{User ID}-{Region}. Example: nosql-17649847257****-cn-hangzhou.
    • If you select Download Log in Current Page, you can download only the audit logs that are displayed on the current page. If you want to download all audit logs, select Download All Logs with Cloud Shell or Download All Logs Using Command Line Tool.
