ApsaraDB for OceanBase:Change Topic

Last Updated:Mar 27, 2023

This topic describes how to rename a message queue topic when you use the data transmission service.

Scenario

When you create a project to synchronize data from OceanBase Database to a message queue instance, the data transmission service allows you to rename topics by using the Change Topic feature after you specify the type of topics to be synchronized.

Procedure

  1. Create a data migration project and configure it to the Select Synchronization Objects step.

For more information, see the topic about creating a data synchronization project between the corresponding data sources in the Data synchronization chapter.

  2. After you select the synchronization objects, move the pointer over the target topic object in the Destination Objects list on the right side of the Select Synchronization Scope section.

  3. Click Change Topic.

    Note
    • When you synchronize data from an OceanBase database to a RocketMQ instance, only the Existing Topics mapping method is supported.

    • When you synchronize data from an OceanBase database to a Kafka or DataHub instance, if you do not select Schema Synchronization when you select the synchronization type, you can select only Existing Topics. If you selected Schema Synchronization when you select the synchronization type, you can select only one mapping method to create or select topics.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Complete subsequent project settings as prompted.
