ApsaraDB for OceanBase:Purchase a data synchronization project

This topic describes how to purchase a data synchronization project provided by the data transmission service of ApsaraDB for OceanBase.

Background information

Data synchronization projects support only the subscription billing method. You can purchase a data synchronization project of a specific type based on the guidance in this topic, and then configure and manage the project. For more information about the billing of a data synchronization project, see Billing for data transmission.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Transmission > Data Synchronization.

  3. On the Data Synchronization page, click Purchase Synchronization Project in the upper-right corner of the Synchronization Projects section.

  4. On the Data Transmission - Subscription page, specify the parameters.

    Description

    Billing Method

    Data migration projects support only the subscription billing method.

    Purpose

    By default, Data synchronization is selected.

    Source Region

    The region where the source database is located.

    Source Type

    The type of the source database. Supported types of the source database are OceanBase Database in MySQL or Oracle mode, and PostgreSQL.

    Destination Region

    The region where the destination database is located. The supported destination regions depend on the selected source region.

    Destination Type

    The type of the destination database. The supported destination types depend on the selected source type.

    Instance Specification

    Valid values: MEDIUM, MICRO, SMALL, LARGE, and XLARGE. Default value: MEDIUM.

    The performance for handling records per second (RPS) during incremental synchronization and the recommended maximum number of table objects to be migrated or synchronized vary with each instance specification. For more information, see Data transmission specifications.

    Quantity

    The number of data synchronization projects that you want to run. Maximum value: 500. Default value: 1.

    Duration

    The duration of the data synchronization project. You can select the duration as needed. We recommend that you select Automatic Renewal to avoid business interruptions due to the expiration or release of resources.

  5. Click Buy Now.

  6. On the Confirm Order page, make sure that parameters are correctly specified. Then, select I have read and agree to the Agreement of Service for Data Transmission - Subscription, and click Activate Now.

  7. After the payment succeeds, a prompt is displayed on the page to indicate that the project is activated. You can return to the Data Synchronization page to further configure the project.
