ApsaraDB for MyBase:Set a maintenance window

Last Updated:Jul 14, 2023

To ensure the stability of ApsaraDB for MyBase instances, the backend system performs maintenance on the instances at irregular intervals. The default maintenance window spans from 02:00:00 to 06:00:00 UTC+8. We recommend that you set the maintenance window to off-peak hours based on your business requirements. This prevents interruptions to your business.

Precautions

  • Before the maintenance, ApsaraDB for MyBase sends text messages and emails to contacts configured within your Alibaba Cloud account.

  • When the maintenance window arrives, your instance enters the Maintaining Instance state. This ensures a smooth maintenance process. Database access and query operations such as performance monitoring are not affected while the instance is in this state. However, except for account and database management and IP address whitelist configuration, modification operations such as upgrade, downgrade, and restart are temporarily unavailable.

  • You may encounter one or two service interruptions during the maintenance window. Make sure that your application can be automatically reconnected to your database system.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances > SQL Server.

  4. Find the instance that you want to manage and click Details in the Actions column.

  5. In the Configuration Information section, click Configure to the right of Maintenance Window.

  6. Select a maintenance window based on your business requirements and click OK.

    Note

The time zone of displayed maintenance windows is the same as that of the computer used to log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.
