This topic describes how to manage a host account. After you create an account for a host in your ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server dedicated cluster, you can change the password of the host account and delete the host account.

Prerequisites

A host account is created. For more information, see Create a host account.

Change the password of a host account

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB MyBase console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where your dedicated cluster is deployed.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Hosts.
  4. On the page that appears, find the host that you want to manage and click Details in the Actions column.
  5. On the Host Information tab, click Reset Password in the Host Account field.

  6. In the dialog box that appears, enter a new password, confirm the password, and then click OK.
    The password must meet the following requirements:
    • The password must be 8 to 32 characters in length.
    • The password must contain at least three of the following character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and special characters.
    • The password cannot contain the account name (case-insensitive).
    • The password can contain the following special characters: ! @ # $ % ^ & * () _ + - =

Delete a host account

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB MyBase console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where your dedicated cluster is deployed.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Hosts.
  4. On the page that appears, find the host that you want to manage and click Details in the Actions column.
  5. On the Host Information tab, click Delete in the Host Account field.
