The fees for Anti-DDoS Proxy (Outside Chinese Mainland) consist of two parts: upfront fees and postpaid fees. The upfront part covers the instance plan and extended specifications that you select at purchase. The postpaid part covers the burstable fees that you incur during use. This topic helps you understand the cost structure, plan selection, pricing details, and related risks of Anti-DDoS Proxy (Outside Chinese Mainland).
Core concepts
Advanced mitigation: Integrates the capabilities of all Anti-DDoS Proxy traffic scrubbing centers in the current Alibaba Cloud region to defend against every DDoS attack and keep your services running. For more information, see Key concepts.
Plan overview
Comparison dimension | Insurance (session-based) | Unlimited |
Core difference | Includes 2 advanced mitigation sessions per month. | Includes an unlimited number of advanced mitigation sessions per month. |
After the session limit is exceeded | After you use up the included advanced mitigation sessions, you can purchase additional advanced mitigation sessions. For more information, see Billing of global advanced mitigation sessions. | Not applicable. |
Scenarios | Suitable if your servers and your users are all outside the Chinese mainland and your risk of attack is low. | Suitable if your servers and your users are all outside the Chinese mainland and your core business requires maximum business continuity. |
Cost structure
Total cost = Upfront fee (instance fee + extended specification fee) + Postpaid fee (burstable fee)
Fee type | Billing method | Included billable items |
Upfront | Subscription | Paid in a lump sum at purchase or renewal. |
Postpaid | Pay-as-you-go | Bills are generated based on the actual usage in the previous billing cycle (daily or monthly). |

Description
Clean bandwidth
50 Mbps
20 Mbps
The maximum service traffic that the instance can process when no attacks occur. You can increase this specification.
Clean queries per second (QPS)
500
1,000
The maximum number of concurrent HTTP and HTTPS requests per second that the instance can process when no attacks occur. You can increase this specification.
NoteSet this parameter based on your actual service usage. If your actual usage exceeds the Clean QPS specification that you purchased, service requests are dropped and full logs are incomplete.
Function plan
Standard function plan
Standard function plan
Available in the Standard and Enhanced function plans. The Enhanced function plan builds on the Standard function plan to strengthen the service access and DDoS attack prevention capabilities of Anti-DDoS Proxy.
For more information, see Differences between the standard and enhanced function plans.
Number of protected domain names
10
10
The number of HTTP and HTTPS domain names that you can add to the instance. You can increase this specification.
Every 10 additional domain names allow one more top-level domain name. For example, if the value is 50, all domain names can belong to a maximum of five top-level domain names.
Number of ports
5
5
The number of TCP and UDP ports that you can add to the instance. You can increase this specification.
95th percentile burstable clean bandwidth mode
Daily 95th percentile
Daily 95th percentile
Starting from 10:00:00 (UTC+8) on March 6, 2026, new purchases no longer support the monthly 95th percentile billing mode for burstable clean bandwidth and burstable QPS. Manual adjustment of burstable clean bandwidth and burstable QPS settings in the console (disabling or enabling the feature, changing the billing mode, and changing the bandwidth specification) is also no longer supported. For more information, see [Important] Adjustments to Anti-DDoS burstable billing feature.

Unit prices of extended specifications
If your business requirements exceed the minimum specifications of the instance, you must purchase the additional capacity separately. The following sections describe the pricing of each extended specification:

Postpaid pricing (burstable clean bandwidth and 95th percentile burstable QPS)
Feature | Billing method | Description |
95th percentile burstable clean bandwidth | Postpaid by day or by month | The burstable clean bandwidth feature elastically increases the clean bandwidth of an instance beyond its base clean bandwidth. It prevents your service from being throttled during peak hours when normal service traffic fluctuations exceed the clean bandwidth specification of the instance. For more information, see Billing of burstable clean bandwidth. |
95th percentile burstable QPS | Postpaid by day or by month | The burstable QPS feature elastically increases the QPS of an instance beyond its base Clean QPS. It prevents your service from being throttled during peak hours when normal QPS fluctuations exceed the Clean QPS specification of the instance. For more information, see Billing of burstable QPS. |
Expiration and release
Time period | Service traffic forwarding | Instance configuration |
Within 7 calendar days after expiration (exclusive) | The instance retains a blackhole filtering threshold of 5 Gbps. Blackhole filtering is triggered when the forwarded service traffic and attack traffic exceed 5 Gbps. Warning To keep your service running after your Anti-DDoS Proxy (Outside Chinese Mainland) instance expires, switch your service traffic back to the origin server at least 7 calendar days before the expiration date.
| The instance configuration is retained. |
From the 7th calendar day (inclusive) to the 15th calendar day (exclusive) after expiration | The instance stops forwarding service traffic. | The instance configuration is retained. |
On the 15th calendar day after expiration | The instance stops forwarding service traffic. | The instance is released, but its configuration is retained. |
1 month after the instance is released | Not applicable. |
