AnalyticDB:Use Quick BI to connect to AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL

Procedure

1. Log on to the Quick BI console.

2. In the top navigation bar, click Workbench.

3. In the left-side My Workspaces section, click the workspace that you want to manage.

   Note

   If no workspace exists, you must create a workspace. For more information, see Create and manage a workspace.

4. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Construction > Data Sources.

5. Click Create Data Source.

6. In the Select Data Source step, click Alibaba AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL.

7. In the Configure Connection step, configure the parameters that are described in the following table.

   Note

   If you use Quick BI to connect to a database over the Internet, you must add the CIDR blocks of Quick BI to a whitelist of the database instance to ensure network connectivity.

   To obtain the CIDR blocks of Quick BI, click Copy Whitelist in the Configure Connection step of the Quick BI console.

   Parameter	Description
   Name	The name of the data source.
   Database Address	The endpoint that is used to connect to the AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL database.
   Port Number	The port number that is used to connect to the AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL database.
   Database	The name of the AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL database.
   Schema	The name of the database schema.
   Username	The database account that is used to connect to the AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL database.
   Password	The password that is used to connect to the AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL database.

   Note

   For more information, see Add an AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL data source.

8. Click Test Connection to test whether a connection can be established to the data source. After the connection test passes, click OK.

   Note

   If the connection test failed, check whether all parameters are correctly configured. After you confirm that the parameters are correctly configured, test the connection again.
