    AnalyticDB:Configure a maintenance window

    To ensure the stability of your AnalyticDB for MySQL cluster, the system performs periodic maintenance. You can set the maintenance window during off-peak hours to minimize the impact on your business.

    Precautions

    • Before maintenance begins, AnalyticDB for MySQL notifies your Alibaba Cloud account contacts by SMS and email.

    • During the maintenance window, operations such as database access, account management, database management, and IP address whitelist configuration are not affected by default.

    • During the maintenance window, write and query operations may experience transient jitter. Ensure that your application has a retry mechanism.

    • During the maintenance window, your cluster may experience brief connectivity issues. Ensure that your application has a reconnection mechanism.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the AnalyticDB for MySQL console. In the upper-left corner of the console, select a region. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. Find the cluster that you want to manage and click the cluster ID.

    2. In the Configuration Information section of the Cluster Information page, click the 1 icon next to Maintenance Window.

    3. Select a maintenance window and click OK.

      Note

      The maintenance window is specified in UTC+8. The default maintenance window is from 10:00 to 11:00 for Enterprise Edition, Basic Edition, and Data Lakehouse Edition clusters, and from 12:00 to 13:00 for Data Warehouse Edition clusters.
