AnalyticDB:Configure a maintenance window

Last Updated:Mar 28, 2026

AnalyticDB for MySQL performs backend maintenance on clusters at irregular intervals to ensure cluster stability. Set the maintenance window to an off-peak period to minimize the impact on your workloads.

How maintenance affects your cluster

Before maintenance starts, AnalyticDB for MySQL notifies the contacts on your Alibaba Cloud account by text message or email.

During the maintenance window:

  • Not affected by default: database access, account management, database management, and IP address whitelist settings.

  • May be affected: write and query operations may experience brief jitter, and transient disconnections may occur.

Make sure your application has both a retry mechanism and a reconnection mechanism.

Set the maintenance window

  1. Log on to the AnalyticDB for MySQL console. In the upper-left corner, select a region. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. Find the cluster and click its cluster ID.

  2. On the Cluster Information page, in the Configuration Information section, click the edit icon icon next to Maintenance Window.

  3. Select a maintenance window and click OK.
