Renewing a subscription cluster extends its service period. The renewal fee is the same as the initial purchase price. pay-as-you-go clusters do not have an expiration date and do not require renewal. For these clusters, you only need to ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance.AnalyticDB for MySQL supports both auto-renewal and manual renewal. This topic describes how to renew subscription AnalyticDB for MySQL clusters.
Usage notes

To prevent service interruptions, we recommend that you enable auto-renewal.

If auto-renewal is not enabled, you must manually renew the cluster before its expiration date. Failure to renew a cluster on time may result in service interruptions or data loss.
Auto-renewal
To avoid forgetting to renew yourAnalyticDB for MySQL subscription cluster, you can enable auto-renewal. The system automatically renews the cluster before it expires.
Auto-renewal rules

This feature applies to subscriptionAnalyticDB for MySQL clusters.

Auto-renewal schedule: The system automatically attempts to deduct the renewal fee at the following times: 3 days before expiration, 1 day before expiration, on the expiration date, 6 days after expiration, and 14 days after expiration.

If you manually renew your cluster before the auto-renewal charge date, the system recalculates the next auto-renewal date based on the new expiration date.

If your cluster expires the next day, you can only renew it manually. You cannot set up auto-renewal.

Ensure that your account has a sufficient balance, credit limit, or available vouchers.

Vouchers can be used for auto-renewal.
Enable auto-renewal at creation
When you create a subscription cluster, select Auto-renewal.
Enable auto-renewal in the Expenses and Costs console
If you did not enable auto-renewal when you created the cluster, you can enable it for an existing subscription cluster in the Expenses and Costs console.
You cannot enable auto-renewal for expired subscription clusters in the Expenses and Costs console.

Log on to the AnalyticDB for MySQL console.

In the top navigation bar, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

Find the target cluster by filtering by Expire At, Commodity Name, or Region.

Select the target cluster and click Enable Auto-renewal in the Actions column.

In the Enable Auto-renewal dialog box, select an Auto-renewal Period and click Enable Auto-renewal.
Manual renewal
You can manually renew anAnalyticDB for MySQL subscription cluster to extend its service period.
Renew from the Expenses and Costs console

Log on to the AnalyticDB for MySQL console.

In the top navigation bar, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

Find the target cluster by filtering by Expire At, Commodity Name, or Region.

Select the target cluster and click Renew in the Actions column.

Select a subscription duration, read and agree to the Terms of Service, then click Buy Now.

On the Pay page, confirm the order details and payment method, then click Pay.
Renew from the AnalyticDB for MySQL console
Log on to the AnalyticDB for MySQL console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters.

Click the tab for the product series, find the target cluster and click Renew in the Actions column.

Select a subscription duration, read and agree to the Terms of Service, then click Buy Now.

On the Pay page, confirm the order details and payment method, then click Pay.
