This page covers TPC-H and TPC-DS benchmark results for AnalyticDB for MySQL, tested in the basic Alibaba Cloud environment in December 2020.
AnalyticDB for MySQL is an online analytical processing (OLAP) warehouse service that processes petabytes of highly concurrent data in real time. It stores data using relational models and supports standard SQL for flexible querying and analysis — no data modeling required. The service scales seamlessly to process tens of billions of rows in milliseconds.
AnalyticDB for MySQL supports pay-as-you-go and subscription billing. Pay-as-you-go clusters can be scaled at any time. Subscription clusters can be scaled or renewed at any time.
TPC-H
The Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC) developed TPC-H to measure database query performance. The benchmark includes 8 tables and 22 complex SQL queries, most of which combine multi-table JOIN operations, subqueries, and GROUP BY clauses.
For the specific queries used in testing, see TPC-H test queries.
The TPC-H tests described here are based on the TPC-H benchmark but do not satisfy all of its requirements. These results cannot be directly compared with officially published TPC-H benchmark results.
TPC-DS
The TPC Council developed TPC-DS as a decision support benchmark to evaluate the analysis performance of big data services. It contains 99 SQL queries designed to simulate complex analytical scenarios.
For the specific queries used in testing, see TPC-DS test queries.
The TPC-DS tests described here are based on the TPC-DS benchmark but do not satisfy all of its requirements. These results cannot be directly compared with officially published TPC-DS benchmark results.
