    This topic describes the billable items and billing rules of AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL.

    The prices that are provided in this topic are for reference only. See the service console to obtain the actual prices of individual resources.

    Coordinator node CUs

    Important

    You are not charged for coordinator node compute units (CUs) during public preview.

    You are billed based on the specifications and usage duration of coordinator node CUs.

    Coordinator node CU fee = Unit price per coordinator node CU × Usage duration

    Note

    • Coordinator node resources of 8 CUs or lower specifications can be used for free.

    • You are charged only for the additional specifications beyond 8 CUs.

    You are billed based on the compute node specifications, the number of compute nodes, and the usage duration.

    Computing resource fee = Unit price per compute node × Number of compute nodes × Usage duration

    • Pay-as-you-go

      You purchase a pay-as-you-go instance in the China (Beijing) region. The instance uses four compute nodes that each provide 2 cores and 16 GB memory. The instance is used for 2,000 hours. The computing resource fee is calculated by using the following formula: USD 0.521 per hour × 4 × 2,000 hours = USD 4,168.

    • Subscription

      You purchase a subscription instance in the China (Beijing) region. The instance uses four compute nodes that each provide 2 cores and 16 GB memory. The subscription period is three months. The computing resource fee is calculated by using the following formula: USD 249.95 per month × 4 × 3 months = USD 2,999.4.

    You purchase a pay-as-you-go instance in the China (Beijing) region. The instance uses four compute nodes that each provide 2 cores and 8 GB memory. The instance is used for 2,000 hours. The computing resource fee is calculated by using the following formula: USD 0.186 per hour × 4 × 2,000 hours = USD 1,488.

    • Pay-as-you-go

      You purchase a High-availability Edition instance in elastic storage mode in the China (Beijing) region. The instance uses PL1 ESSDs and four compute nodes that each provide 100 GB of storage. The instance is used for 2,000 hours. The computing resource fee is calculated by using the following formula: USD 0.00066667 per GB-hour per node × 100 GB × 4 × 2,000 hours = USD 533.336.

    • Subscription

      You purchase a High-availability Edition instance in elastic storage mode in the China (Beijing) region. The instance uses PL1 ESSDs and four compute nodes that each provide 100 GB of storage. The subscription period is three months. The computing resource fee is calculated by using the following formula: USD 0.32 per GB-month per node × 100 GB × 4 × 3 months = USD 384.

    AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL supports tiered storage of hot and cold data. The cold data that is stored in Object Storage Service incurs storage costs. For more information, see Tiered storage of hot and cold data.

    You are billed based on the storage actually occupied (including basic data and backup data) and the usage duration.

    Backup

    Elastic storage mode

    The backup and restoration feature is available free of charge during public preview. You may be charged for this feature in the future.

    Serverless mode

    The backup and restoration feature is not separately billed. Backup data occupies storage and may incur storage fees. For more information about storage resource fees, see the "Storage resources" section of this topic.
