This topic describes the billing of cluster configuration changes in AnalyticDB for MySQL.

Cluster billing method Billing of configuration changes
Subscription
  • Configuration changes within the subscription period
    • Configuration upgrade
Upgrade costs = (Daily price of the cluster after upgrade - Daily price of the cluster before upgrade) × Number of days from the upgrade date to the expiration date
      Note
      • If the number of days from the upgrade date to the expiration date is less than 365, the daily price of the cluster after upgrade is equal to the monthly subscription price divided by the number of days in the month.
      • If the number of days from the upgrade date to the expiration date is equal to or greater than 365, the daily price of the cluster after upgrade is equal to the yearly subscription price divided by the number of days in the year.
    • Configuration downgrade

For information about refund rules for downgrade, see Refund rules for real-time configuration downgrade.

  • Renewal and configuration changes upon expiration

Your cluster is billed based on the new configuration and the new subscription period. The subscription period may be months or years.

Note The resources are charged starting from the first second after the cluster configuration is changed.
Pay-as-you-go A pay-as-you-go cluster is still billed on an hourly basis after its configuration is changed. The fees are calculated based on the new cluster configuration.
