Overview
If you find latency issues when you use Alibaba Mail to receive external emails, you can analyze and troubleshoot the issue by viewing the source code.
Details
1. Log on to the Webmail, click Inbox, select the corresponding email, right-click the body, and then select View Source.
2. Find the Date field in the following figure at first. The time point on the right side of the field is Wed, 15 May 2024 13:38:02 +0800
, which is the time of the local email client when the sender sends the email. This time is not necessarily accurate, because if the sender changes the local time, the value of the Date field will also change, but the probability of this problem is small.
3. Find the last Received field on the page on the Date field. If the displayed time are different from the previous several Received time, a delay is generated on the Mailbox server.
4. You can confirm which mailbox server has a greater difference in time. The greater the difference in time has, the greater the delay generated by this mailbox server. You need to find the operator of the server to confirm the reason.
