This topic describes how to set notifications on periodic password changes.
Users who have not changed their passwords will receive an email reminder once a day 5 days before the reminder change period. If forced password modification is set at the same time, users who have not modified their passwords when they reach the reminder period will be forced to change their passwords when logging in, otherwise they cannot log in. After the function is enabled, the account whose last password modification time has exceeded the reminder period will receive an email notification immediately (account passwords are not saved in Alibaba's mailbox and exceptional accounts will not receive a notification).
Procedure
1. Log on to the Alibaba Mail by postmaster account and enter domain management page. Click Security-->Account Security Strategy-->Notifications on Periodic Password Changes.
2. Enable the Password Change Notifications.
3. Select whether to enable Mandatory Password Changes at the same time: If the employees do not change their password after the expiration date, they will be forced to change it when logging in (This is the new feature. For postmasters who have previously enabled the Periodic Password Changes reminder function, they need to select the Mandatory Password Changes option at the same time again if the company has this need.).
4. Set the Change Interval: Every once in a while, the system will send a reminder to all accounts of password change. The password change period can be 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year. The default value is 1 month.
5. If some accounts do not need to be reminded, you can set Exceptions.
6. Click Save button to save after the setting is completed.
