This topic describes how to recall emails by postmaster account.
1. Use postmaster account login Alibaba Mail and enter domain management page> Tools> Email Recall. Set the search criteria and click the Search button to search for emails. Subject search supports fuzzy query. Select the query results accurately to avoid withdrawing emails by mistake.
If the from address is different from the mailfrom address, use the from address to search by sender.
2. You can withdraw a single record or select multiple records.
3. If select "Remove All Emails" option, you can choose Inform All Recipients or Only Infrom Those Already Read.
4. If select "Remove Unread Emails Only" option, you can choose Inform All Recipients or Do Not Inform.
5. Click "Refresh" in the upper right corner of the list to check the email withdrawal status. If the status is partially successful, click "View Failed Account" to check the failure causes and failed accounts.
1. Employee side: Unread emails to the recipient in the same domain can be withdrawn only within 30 days.
Postmaster side: some emails that employees cannot withdraw by themselves can be withdrawn within 7 days, including internal emails, read emails and unread emails (emails from external domains can be withdrawn, and emails sent to external domains cannot be withdrawn).
2. If the recipient of the sent email forwards or replies to the email, the secondary email forwarded or replied by the recipient cannot be withdrawn.
3. The email recall operation takes effect for all recipients, including email group members.
4. Withdrawn emails can be withdrawn both read and unread (mails from external domains can be withdrawn, and those sent to external domains cannot be withdrawn).
5. The postmaster can only view the accounts that failed to be withdrawn, but not the list of accounts that have been successfully withdrawn.
6. Only email saved on the server can be withdrawn, and local mail received by POP/IMAP protocol cannot be withdrawn.
7. The Recipient field must be the final recipient account and does not support email groups.
