Problem Description

The sender receives a bounce letter including the following information after sending emails to Alibaba Mail users.

554 Reject by behaviour spam...

Cause

The permanent rejection in behavior anti-spam stage.

1. The IP address, sending address, or domain name is on the blacklist of international anti-spam organizations.

The Alibaba Mail antispam system detects that the sender's sending IP, sending address or domain name is in the blacklist of the international anti-spam organization, and judges that the credibility is low and there is spam /phishing email sending behavior. In order to avoid the Alibaba Mail system from the malicious harassment of such low credibility email source, so the direct refusal to receive such emails.

Note

In such cases, the Alibaba Mail rejects its emails because the server adopts the corresponding anti-spam policy definition, and different mailbox systems may adopt different anti-spam policies. Therefore, the blacklisted sending IP may be able to send emails to other non-Alibaba Mail users at this time.

Please check the real sending address, like the @cannot be followed by IP. For example, gitlab@192.168.1.0 is not a valid email account.

Solution:

1. Checks whether the sending IP address or domain name has been blacklisted in the official website of the international anti-spam organization, or determines that the credibility is low.

If they are blacklisted, please send the query results to the email service provider of the sending party in a timely manner and apply for unblocking the IP address of the server. The unblocking process varies with different anti-spam organizations.

Note

Email Reputation indicates the credibility of the email IP address. Poor indicates that the email address has a low credibility.

2. Check the sending program to see if the value of the mailfrom is correct.
