    Alibaba Mail:Bounce Notification: 503 RCPT account isn't a local account

    Description

    Failed to send the email by Alibaba Mail, and the returned email contains the following information:

    503 RCPT account isn't a local account
554 RCPT (a***@example.net) doesn't exist

    Cause

    • If the recipient uses Alibaba Mail, the sender may have misspelled the recipient's email account.

    • If the recipient previously used Alibaba Mail and has now switched to a non-Alibaba Mail system, it may be because the Alibaba Mail still saves the domain records of the previous email service.

    Solution

    1. Make sure that the recipient's email account is spelled correctly before the sender redelivers the email.

    Solution to problem.

    2. Please confirm whether the recipient continues to use the Alibaba Mail. If it is no longer used, the recipient should login to the Alibaba Mail Console and delete the email service or replace the domain name.
