AgentLoop meters AI credits, dataset storage, and execution count and uses pay-as-you-go (postpaid) billing. After you activate the service, usage is metered based on actual consumption and bills are generated daily. This topic describes the billing scope, billing items, prices, and deduction rules to help you estimate costs before activation.
Applicable scope
The following billing rules apply when you use AgentLoop for agent observability, AI annotation, evaluation, experimentation, auditing, and related automated analysis capabilities.
The AgentLoop Context Engineering module is in public preview and is not billed. For future billing changes, refer to official announcements.
Billing items
AgentLoop uses pay-as-you-go billing, which takes effect by default after you activate the service, remains valid until you disable it, and is settled daily. The following billing items apply:
|
Billing item |
Description |
Unit price |
|
AI credits |
Offsets model resource consumption during evaluation, experimentation, dataset data vectorization, advanced detection for auditing, and other processes. Advanced detection for auditing consumes model resources and incurs AI credit fees. Credit consumption varies by task complexity. |
USD 0.0016/credit |
|
Dataset storage |
Billed by the number of dataset storage entries and storage duration in AgentLoop. |
USD 0.0000055/entry/day |
|
Execution count |
Billed by the number of data sample executions for evaluation, experimentation, and other tasks. |
USD 0.00014/execution |
-
AI credits cannot be converted to cash and can be used only to offset resource consumption generated by AgentLoop intelligent analysis capabilities.
-
Actual consumption is subject to the bill details in the Alibaba Cloud Expenses and Costs console.
The following values are estimates of AI credit consumption. Actual consumption is subject to the bill details in the Alibaba Cloud Expenses and Costs console:
-
One evaluation consumes approximately 10 credits.
-
One experiment consumes approximately 1 credit.
Billing example
Assume that an account generates the following usage in one day:
-
AI credits: 2,000 credits
-
Dataset storage: 10,000 entries stored for 1 day
-
Execution count: 10,000 executions
The pay-as-you-go fees are calculated as follows:
-
AI credit fee = 2,000 × 0.0016 = USD 3.2
-
Dataset storage fee = 10,000 × 0.0000055 = USD 0.055
-
Execution count fee = 10,000 × 0.00014 = USD 1.4
-
Total daily fee = USD 4.655
Free trial quota for new users
AgentLoop provides a one-time free trial package for new customers within the first month after activation. It is automatically issued after an Alibaba Cloud account activates AgentLoop:
|
Billing item |
Free quota |
Validity period |
Expiration policy |
|
AI credits |
10,000 credits |
31 days from the activation date |
Unused quota is automatically cleared |
|
Dataset storage |
31,000 entries/day |
31 days from the activation date |
Unused quota is automatically cleared |
|
Execution count |
2,000 executions |
31 days from the activation date |
Unused quota is automatically cleared |
When your account has both a free trial package and pay-as-you-go billing active, the free trial package is consumed first. After the package is exhausted, billing continues at the pay-as-you-go rate.

Activation notes
Use the Alibaba Cloud account that activated AgentLoop, or one of its RAM users, to perform order-related operations.
Take note of the following recommendations and permission requirements:
-
We recommend that you use your Alibaba Cloud account (primary account) to activate and manage the AgentLoop service.
-
If you use a RAM user to place orders, make sure the RAM user has order payment permissions and AgentLoop service operation permissions.
-
Pay-as-you-go bills are generated daily. You can view daily bill details in the Alibaba Cloud Expenses and Costs console.
