Container Service for Kubernetes:yurt-coredns-controlplane

Last Updated:Jun 25, 2026

The yurt-coredns-controlplane is a control plane component that provides CoreDNS workloads for hybrid cloud and edge node pools in ACK clusters.

Component overview

The yurt-coredns-controlplane component provides CoreDNS services to hybrid cloud and edge node pools. It ensures that DNS resolution remains available even if a node pool loses its connection to the cluster.

The component uses different deployment modes for hybrid cloud and edge node pools:

  • Hybrid cloud node pools: A CoreDNS Deployment with two replicas runs in each hybrid cloud node pool.

  • Edge node pools: A CoreDNS replica runs on each edge node.

Usage notes

  • The component supports only ACK managed clusters of version 1.33 or later.

  • You must also install the cluster component yurt-hub-controlplane and the node component yurt-hub.
