To continuously improve your product experience, the Container Service Agent feature of Alibaba Cloud will transition from free preview to commercial billing on September 3, 2026.
Effective date
Billing starts at 10:00:00 on September 3, 2026 (UTC+8).
Impact
After this change takes effect, features of Container Service Agent, such as conversations, autonomous intelligent O&M, and scheduled tasks, will be billed. This transition will not affect the existing settings or historical task records of existing users.
Existing users:
If you used Container Service Agent before commercialization, you need to activate the service for your UID account after the change takes effect. You can go to the service activation page and click Activate Now to select an appropriate billing plan. If you have questions, contact your sales representative or customer service manager.
ImportantAfter commercialization, existing users who have not activated the service will no longer be able to use the Container Service Agent feature.
New users:
After commercialization, when you use Container Service Agent for the first time, the system will automatically verify the service activation status. If the Container Service Agent service has not been activated for your account, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation.
Billing rules
As part of Alibaba Cloud Elastic Compute Agents, Container Service Agent uses credits as the unified billing unit. The service is free to activate and supports pay-as-you-go billing and prepaid resource plan deduction. Model resource consumption generated by features such as conversations, autonomous intelligent O&M, and scheduled tasks is converted into credits for billing. Different task complexity levels correspond to different credit consumption amounts.
Billing methods
Container Service Agent supports two billing methods: pay-as-you-go and resource plans. The two methods can be used in combination. Total cost = actual credits consumed x unit price (USD 0.007/credit), or you can purchase resource plans in advance for a better unit price. After this change takes effect, you can select the specific billing method and purchase resource plans through the console.
