Container Service Agent is an AI-native container intelligent management platform from Alibaba Cloud. It provides 24/7 autonomous intelligent O&M for the full lifecycle of your clusters and applications, enhancing overall system stability and ensuring business continuity.
Features
Agent tasks
You can start a task session from the Agent tasks page and submit O&M tasks using natural language. The agent automatically identifies your intent and then plans and executes the required cluster management and O&M tasks.
On the task page, you can view your session history and continue previous conversations.
Full lifecycle O&M management
Container Service Agent simplifies using and managing ACK clusters and Kubernetes resources by providing intelligent assistance at the following stages:
Day 0 (Planning and Design): Provides guidance on planning and designing your cloud-native container environment, such as recommending configurations for resources like clusters and nodes.
Day 1 (Resource and Application Creation): Helps you design and write application configuration files, such as Terraform or Kubernetes YAML files.
Day 2 (Operations and Maintenance): Provides rapid diagnosis for O&M issues and offers optimization recommendations for cost, resource utilization, high availability, stability, and security.
AI-assisted intelligent observability
Container Service Agent integrates a large language model with ACK best practices for container observability. This allows you to query and analyze cluster observability data using natural language, elevating troubleshooting from simple data retrieval to intelligent insight.
Prometheus: Supports metric queries for both Alibaba Cloud Prometheus for ACK and self-managed Prometheus instances, including natural language to PromQL translation.
Cluster control plane log query: Supports querying logs from Simple Log Service (SLS) for the ACK cluster control plane. This includes running SLS SQL queries and translating natural language to SLS SQL.
Audit logs: Tracks Kubernetes operations for auditing purposes.
Intelligent diagnosis and health check
When you view the details of a node, Pod, or Workload on the ACK console and notice an abnormal status, error message, or event, you can click the Intelligent Diagnosis button to launch Container Service Agent for a rapid diagnosis.
Container Service Agent analyzes observability data from the cluster's nodes and applications to provide an intelligent diagnosis. It typically explains the cause of the issue and suggests a solution. If the root cause cannot be determined, you can perform a deep-dive diagnosis on the abnormal Pod or node based on the expertise of ACK technical specialists. For more information, see Use cluster diagnosis.
Autonomous intelligent O&M
The autonomous intelligent O&M feature detects cluster anomalies in real time and automatically triggers the agent to perform in-depth root cause analysis and devise a remediation plan. After you grant authorization, the system automatically performs the remediation, enabling end-to-end intelligent management, from issue detection to resolution.
For more information, see Autonomous intelligent O&M for Container Service Agent.
Routine scheduled tasks
Container Service Agent provides a scheduled task feature that allows you to flexibly configure intelligent tasks to run at specific times or on a recurring basis. This feature enables the agent to automatically perform routine maintenance, for fully automated, unattended O&M.
For more information, see Routine scheduled tasks for Container Service Agent.
Usage notes
Authorization
The basic features of Container Service Agent require authorization. For more information, see Grant permissions to use Container Service Agent.
The autonomous intelligent O&M feature requires additional authorization. For more information, see Enable and authorize autonomous intelligent O&M.
Important notes
The output from this service is generated by a large language model. Due to the limitations of current AI technology, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of the generated content. Please evaluate and independently verify the content. Do not rely on it as your sole source of information. You are solely responsible for any consequences or losses arising from decisions or actions you take based on the generated content.
Ensure that the information you input is lawful and compliant, does not disrupt public order, infringe upon the legal rights of others, or contain fabricated or false information. You are solely responsible for your use of the service.
To manage your clusters, this service accesses account resources, such as ECS instances and ACK clusters, including their configurations, statuses, and observability data. The service does not collect your business data.
Billing
This feature will officially transition from the free preview phase to paid commercial operation on August 7, 2026. For more information, see Container Service Agent Billing Announcement.
