Container Service for Kubernetes:Unsubscription and refund policies

Last Updated:Dec 18, 2024

If you no longer need to use Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK), you can unsubscribe from the associated cloud services. For services billed in the subscription method, such as resource plans, Alibaba Cloud issues refunds according to the unsubscription policies. For pay-as-you-go resources, refunds are not applicable. You can stop billing by releasing or deleting the resources through the console.

Unsubscription instructions

If you decide to stop using container services, delete your ACK clusters and associated cloud resources promptly to ensure billing is halted.

  • When deleting a cluster, you will be prompted to simultaneously delete the associated cloud resources. Choose to delete or retain these resources as needed. For more information, see Delete ACK clusters.

  • You can also review resource usage in each cloud service console and manually remove any billing resources that you no longer need. For more information about the cloud services associated with clusters, see Cloud service billing.

Note

ACK clusters cannot be stopped or put into sleep mode to pause billing. If your cluster is not in use, you can reduce cloud service costs by releasing resources such as idle ECS nodes. For more information, see Billing FAQs.

Refund policy

If you unsubscribe, the following refund policies apply:

  • Cluster management fees

Pay-as-you-go billing is based on actual usage, and thus refunds do not apply.

  • Cloud service fees

For cloud services associated with the cluster, refer to the billing documentation of each product to determine if refunds are involved.
