This topic describes how to configure and change the mobile number bound to your Alibaba Cloud account.
Log on with your Alibaba Cloud account. Resource Access Management (RAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) users cannot change the logon information of an Alibaba Cloud account.
When to change your secure phone number
Your secure phone number is a core credential for identity verification. It is used for secondary authentication and receiving critical security notifications. To ensure normal account access and asset security, change your secure phone number as soon as possible in the following scenarios:
Your original phone number is no longer available because it was suspended or changed, or the phone was lost.
Account ownership was transferred to someone else.
Your security policy requires you to update the phone number periodically.
Steps to change your secure phone number
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Account Center and go to the Security Settings page. In the Mobile Number section, click Change.
On the identity verification page, choose to verify your identity using your original secure phone or your logon email address.
After your identity is verified, enter the new Mobile Number. Enter the verification code that you receive, and then click Confirm to complete the change.
ImportantYou must enter a mobile number registered in the country or region where your Alibaba Cloud account was created.
The system displays a success message.

What do I do if I don't receive a verification code when changing my secure phone?
If your logon email address or original secure phone number is accessible, try resending the code. You can also troubleshoot using What do I do if I do not receive a verification code during registration or logon?or submit an appeal.

What do I do if my phone number is bound to the maximum number of Alibaba Cloud accounts?
A single phone number can be used to register or bind a maximum of 6 Alibaba Cloud accounts. You can do one of the following:
Use a different phone number.
If you do not have another phone number available, choose to close one of the other Alibaba Cloud accounts that are bound to the same phone number, and then try again. See Close an Alibaba Cloud account.
