Your mobile phone number is used for secondary identity verification, and critical security notifications. This topic describes how to change the mobile phone number on your Alibaba Cloud account.
Users logged in as a RAM user, with a RAM role, or through Enterprise SSO cannot change the mobile phone number of an Alibaba Cloud account. To make changes, ask the account administrator to log on to the Alibaba Cloud account and update the settings on your behalf.
When to change your mobile phone number
Change your mobile phone number as soon as possible in any of these scenarios:
Your original phone number is no longer usable because it is lost, its service is suspended, or the number has been reassigned.
The account is being transferred to a new owner.
Your security policy requires periodic phone number rotation.
Prerequisites
You must be logged on to your Alibaba Cloud account to change the mobile phone number. The verification method you use depends on whether your original phone number is still accessible:
Accessible: Complete verification by entering the SMS code sent to your current number.
Not accessible: Complete the verification by receiving a code sent to your logon email address.
Procedure
Log on to the Account Center and go to the Security Settings page. In the Basic Settings section, click Modify under Mobile Phone Number.

Alternatively, on the Overview page, in the My Account area, click the
icon next to Mobile Phone Number.
On the identity verification page, verify your identity using your original mobile phone number, logon email, or TOTP.
After your identity is verified, enter your new phone number, click Get Verification Code, enter the code you receive, and then click OK.
NoteThe phone number must be from the country or region that you selected during account registration.
A single phone number can be bound to a maximum of six Alibaba Cloud accounts. If you exceed this limit, use a different phone number or close unused accounts. For more information, see Close your Alibaba Cloud account.
The system displays the Modified successfully message.
