If you forget your Alibaba Cloud account password, follow these steps to reset it online.
Prerequisites
You will need your account name or email to verify your identity. If the email address or secure phone number is unavailable, update your email by submitting an appeal. For more information, see Account mailbox is unavailable.
You cannot reset your password by signing in with Google or GitHub.
Reset your password
Go to the Alibaba Cloud homepage, click Log On in the upper-right corner, and select Forgot Password.

On the Retrieve Password page, enter your account name or email address as the Login ID, and the verification code. Click Submit.

Choose a method to verify your identity. Depending on your account's security settings, you can choose to receive a verification code by either SMS or email.
If the email address or secure phone for your account is unavailable, first see How to update your account email address to submit an appeal and update it.
If you're having trouble receiving the verification code, see Why am I unable to receive a verification code? for troubleshooting information.

Enter the verification code you receive. On the Reset Password page, create and confirm your new password. The password must meet the following requirements:
Length: 8 to 20 characters
Can contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Spaces are not allowed. Must include at least three of the following character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

After the password is reset, use it to log on to your Alibaba Cloud account. To improve account security, store your new password in a safe place and change it periodically.

Keep your new password secure and update it regularly. For more information, see Change the password for an Alibaba Cloud account.
